Rising Sun Phase 4 begins in February of 1944 as the Japanese Imperial Army falls back from its defeat at Imphal and the recapture of Rangoon. Then we shift to mainland China where the USAAC and the IJAAF fight indecisively for air superiority. Then the largest sea battle in history begins with the landing at Leyte Gulf.
The end game is played out in the Marianas where the B-29 is brought to bear against Japan leading to her destruction and the war’s end.
